Early Life
Napoleon Bonaparte was born on the island of Corsica in 1769. He was educated in France and joined the French Army at the age of 16. He quickly rose through the ranks and became a general during the French Revolution.
Military Career
Napoleon’s military genius and leadership skills made him one of the most successful commanders in history. He conquered much of Europe and established a vast empire, which he ruled as Emperor from 1804 to 1814. Downfall
Despite his military success, Napoleon’s reign came to an end in 1815, when he was defeated at the Battle of Waterloo. He was exiled to the island of Saint Helena, where he lived in exile until his death in 1821.

He is remembered as a military genius who conquered much of Europe, but also as a tyrant who brought about the deaths of countless people through war and conquest.
