Preschool – Day 15

Circle Time:

  • Sing “The Wheels on the Bus”
  • Practice identifying different types of transportation
  • Discuss the importance of road safety

Language Arts:

  • Read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle
  • Discuss the story and the different foods the caterpillar eats
  • Practice identifying and writing the letter “K”


  • Introduce the concept of addition and the different ways to represent addition (e.g. using pictures, objects, and numbers)
  • Use manipulatives and other materials to practice addition problems
  • Practice counting to 150 as a group

Social Studies:

  • Talk about different jobs and careers in the community
  • Invite a guest speaker (e.g. a police officer, a firefighter) to talk about their job and responsibilities
  • Ask children to share what they want to be when they grow up


  • Introduce the concept of the water cycle and the different stages (e.g. evaporation, condensation, precipitation)
  • Conduct simple experiments to explore the water cycle (e.g. creating a water cycle in a bottle)
  • Discuss the importance of water in our environment and our daily lives


  • Use playdough and other materials to create sculptures of animals or other objects
  • Encourage children to use their imagination and creativity
  • Display the playdough sculptures in the classroom for the week
