Preschool – Day 31

Circle Time:

  • Sing “The Wheels on the Bus”
  • Practice counting to 20 together as a group
  • Play a game of “Counting Around the Room” where children count the number of chairs, tables, and other objects in the classroom

Language Arts:

  • Read “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin Jr.
  • Practice identifying and writing the letter “V”
  • Play a game of “I Spy” where children take turns describing objects in the classroom using descriptive words

Math:

  • Introduce the concept of addition and using objects to add numbers together
  • Use small objects like blocks or counting bears to practice adding numbers together
  • Play a game of “Addition Bingo” where children match the sum of two numbers to a picture on their bingo card

Social Studies:

  • Discuss the importance of being a good friend and treating others with kindness
  • Use role-playing or scenarios to practice different ways to be a good friend (e.g. sharing, listening, helping)
  • Read “The Rainbow Fish” by Marcus Pfister and discuss the importance of sharing and being kind to others

Science:

  • Introduce the concept of the five senses and how we use them to learn about the world around us
  • Play a game of “Senses Scavenger Hunt” where children use their five senses to find objects around the classroom
  • Conduct a taste test with different foods and encourage children to use their sense of taste to describe the different flavors

Art:

  • Use different shapes like circles, squares, and triangles to create a collage
  • Encourage children to use their creativity and imagination to create unique and colorful collages
  • Display the collages in the classroom for the week
