Preschool – Day 35

Circle Time:

  • Sing “The Wheels on the Bus”
  • Practice counting to 20 by having children count different objects in the classroom
  • Play a game of “Red Light, Green Light” using different body movements

Language Arts:

  • Read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle
  • Practice identifying and writing the letter “Z”
  • Play a game of “Letter Sound Match” where children match letters to objects with the same beginning sound

Math:

  • Introduce the concept of patterns using different materials, such as blocks or colored tiles
  • Create different patterns and have children continue the pattern
  • Have children create their own patterns using different materials

Social Studies:

  • Discuss different holidays and traditions from around the world
  • Use pictures or videos to show examples of different holidays and traditions
  • Have children draw or create a craft related to a holiday or tradition they learned about

Science:

  • Introduce the concept of the water cycle and how it works
  • Demonstrate the water cycle using a visual aid or experiment
  • Have children draw or create a craft related to the water cycle

Art:

  • Create a collaborative mural using paint or markers
  • Divide a large piece of paper into sections and have each child create a drawing in their section
  • Display the mural in the classroom for the week.
