Circle Time:

Math:

  • Introduce the concept of measurement using non-standard units like blocks or paper clips
  • Practice comparing objects by size or weight
  • Play a game of “Simon Says” using math concepts like counting or shapes

Social Studies:

  • Talk about different cultures and traditions around the world
  • Read “Hats, Hats, Hats” by Ann Morris
  • Make paper hats inspired by different cultures and traditions

Science:

  • Introduce the concept of the human body and the five senses
  • Conduct a taste test using different flavors like sweet, sour, and salty
  • Discuss the sense of taste and how it helps us enjoy different foods

Art:

  • Make fingerprint art using washable ink pads and paper
  • Encourage children to create different shapes and patterns with their fingerprints
