Goals

By the end of this unit study, students will be able to:

Schedule (5 Days)

Day 1: Introduction to Outer Space

  • Explore the Moon and stars: Discuss lunar phases and constellations

Day 4: Space Exploration

  • Focus on space exploration: Discuss astronauts, rockets, and the International Space Station
  • Engage in a rocket launch simulation activity
  • Reading a related storybook

Day 5: Imagining Space and Culmination

  • Use imagination: Discuss aliens, space travel, and creative ideas about space
  • Arts and crafts: Create “Alien Masks” using paper and craft supplies
  • Culmination activity: Create a class “Space Exhibition” with students’ artwork and facts
