These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of LearnIndex (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use LearnIndex
LearnIndex accounts are created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian (“you”) on behalf of your children. You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account. Child profiles and any optional child logins are managed entirely at your discretion and remain your responsibility.
2. The Service
LearnIndex provides adaptive Math and English assessments, a resulting LearnIndex Score, a recommended learning plan, a curriculum tracker, guided skill practice, and parent/student dashboards. LearnIndex is an educational diagnostic and practice tool. It is not a substitute for professional educational, psychological, or developmental evaluation, and no score or recommendation it produces should be treated as a clinical or diagnostic assessment.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account, including any child logins you create. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
4. Plans & billing
LearnIndex offers a Free plan and a paid Family Premium plan, described on our Pricing page. Where billing is available, subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled. Cancelling stops future billing and returns your account to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period; it does not delete your data. Prices are subject to change with reasonable notice to active subscribers.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use LearnIndex only for its intended purpose of supporting your own family’s or students’ learning. You agree not to: misuse or attempt to circumvent the Service’s assessment, gating, or billing logic; access another family’s data or accounts; upload unlawful or harmful content; or use the Service in any way that disrupts it for other families.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the information you and your children provide (profiles, responses, notes). You grant us a limited license to store and process that information solely to provide the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The LearnIndex name, the assessment methodology, scoring system, curriculum content, and software are owned by LearnIndex and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to that material beyond your personal, non-commercial use of the Service.
8. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee any particular academic outcome. To the fullest extent permitted by law, LearnIndex is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service; our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do, and material changes will be communicated to active account holders.
