Getting started
How do I create an account?
Register as a parent, then add a profile for each child (name, grade, and an optional login of their own so they can access their Student Dashboard directly).
Does my child need their own login?
No. You can manage everything from your parent dashboard without ever creating a separate login for your child. A student login is only useful if you want them to check their own progress or do Guided Skill Practice on their own.
Understanding your LearnIndex Score
What does the score mean?
Your child’s LearnIndex Score is out of 360 and reflects how they performed on an adaptive Math or English assessment for their grade band. Alongside the score, you’ll see a breakdown of specific strengths and gaps — not just a single number.
How is it different from a school grade?
A LearnIndex Score is diagnostic, not evaluative — it exists to show exactly which skills need more time, not to grade your child’s work.
Retaking an assessment
How often can my child retake the assessment?
On the Free plan, each child can retake the Math or English assessment once every 90 days per subject, so scores reflect real progress rather than repeated attempts. Family Premium removes this wait entirely.
Curriculum & Guided Skill Practice
What’s the difference between the curriculum tracker and Guided Skill Practice?
The curriculum tracker lays out a day-by-day plan built from your child’s results. Guided Skill Practice is shorter, focused practice on one specific skill at a time — useful on its own or alongside the curriculum.
My child’s in-progress checkup disappeared when I closed the tab — is it gone?
It shouldn’t be — in-progress Learning Checkups are saved automatically and will resume from where they left off, even on a different device.
Your account & data
Can I download or delete my family’s data?
Yes. From your WordPress account you can request an export or erasure of your LearnIndex data at any time — see our Privacy Policy for details.
