About Skills

Skills is the LearnIndex lesson library: more than 1,500 short lessons in Math, English, Social Studies and Sciences, each tagged with a grade level from Kindergarten to Grade 12. Use the subject tiles, search, and the subject and grade menus to find what to learn next. Inside each subject, topics and their skills are arranged from the youngest grade level to the oldest.

Every skill opens as a lesson with three parts: Explanation to read (with read-aloud audio and key words you can tap), Explore to look more closely, and Practice questions that show the right answer after each try. Use the dots on each card, or the buttons on the lesson, to mark a skill Working on, Done or Hidden.

Parents and teachers can use “Add to dashboard” on any skill to place it in a child’s chosen articles on the Parent and Student Dashboards. A perfect Practice score marks the skill Done automatically.
